It is also sometimes just called Purple Heart for the sake of brevity. The funding for these causes comes mostly from the sale of items donated to the organization, including cars, household items and clothing.
What is the Purple Heart?

For car donations, you can fill out an online form or call the Purple Hearts toll free number to arrange for a pickup. Again, at no cost to you. After contacting the Purple Heart, a towing company will get in contact with you to arrange for removal of the car. For income tax purposes The Purple Heart organization will send you a tax deductible donation receipt once your car is received.
